3-Dimensional Screw Portrait by AnthonySturgeon 3-Dimensional Screw Portrait by AnthonySturgeon
Here's a piece I created. Its made up of over 16,000 screws all hand painted as well as hand screwed. The portrait is also 3-Dimensional. It stands 6ft tall and weighs 185 lbs. I would love to have it displayed in Springfield some where. I'm attending the School of Art in Chicago this fall in Fine Arts/ Business. I'm from Wheatland, MO and I'm only 21 years old. I hope to make my community proud as well as myself.

Okay everyone thank you so much!!!! I just got on here and saw all the messages I didn't think any one would appreciate what I did with this project. It really means so much to me for all of believing in my work. I would like to inform everyone that I have completed my 2nd piece for a client and sold it for $2600.. Really made my day! However I still have this portrait and it is hanging up in a gallery at the moment, but I believe it needs a home. I would really love to sell this piece to help me out in Chicago! If you are interest please send me a price. I'm also open to creating more of these piece as well. This piece took nearly 5 weeks to complete. My 2nd piece which I will be uploading later only took 3 weeks and looks so much better! One last thing I would like to inform everyone that I received a total of nearly $30,000 in annual scholarships for SAIC- The School of Art- Chicago and will be heading there this December! Thank you everyone again!

this is awesome, and it makes 2 things come to mind :)
1) how long did this take you to make?
and 2) i'd hate to think of how much this cost you to make....
but all in all, it looks amazing and i would definitely be proud to have someone like you in my community :D
.......i just wish my community would focus less on sports and a little more on the Fine Arts :hmm:
